Comments

Riders and horses are among the artist's classic representations. Marino Marini has worked on the theme in all techniques; in painting, sculpture as well as in graphic art. The human being, be it a rider or an artist, always stands in a special relationship to the horse. Here, a rider seems to be holding the horse while two are juggling on it.
The work offered originally came from the collection of the publisher Albert Skira, who had numerous works by the artist in his private collection and published several books about him.
