Collection Elmer R. Pearson, USA
Some covers with slight age-related damage, rarely so beautifully preserved
The complete series of all 14 Bauhaus books is extremely rare. This copy comes from the estate of Elmer R. Pearson (with his name stamped in the books), an early pupil of László Moholy-Nagy. After emigrating to the USA, Moholy-Nagy founded the "School for Visual Arts" in Chicago, which later became the "Illinois Institute of Technology" via the "Institute of Design", where Elmer R. Pearson later taught as a professor.
