Purchase price, invoice and payment

The purchase price is calculated from the hammer price and the Buyer's premium. VAT (currently 8.1%) is charged on the Buyer's premium. VAT (currently 8.1%; for books currently 2.6%) is due on the hammer price plus Buyer's premium in the case of items identified by a star (*) after the estimate.
Invoices are mailed shortly after the auction and can on request be sent via e-mail. In principle, the buyer's payment is made by way of wire transfer in Swiss currency. Galerie Kornfeld may at any time refuse to accept cash payment without giving reasons and instead insist on payment by wire transfer. Credit cards are not accepted.

Collection and delivery

After the purchase price has been paid in full, you can personally collect or arrange for an authorized representative to collect the artwork(s) bought by you. You can also give us your written shipping instructions if you wish us to send them to you. Expenses such as packaging, transport and insurance will be invoiced separately.

VAT refund on exports

The VAT levied on the Buyer's premium or on the hammer price plus Buyer's premium will be refunded to you if you demonstrably export the artwork from Switzerland to another country and provide the original export customs declaration to us.
