Commentaires

The Casa Camuzzi is a castle-like palazzo in Montagnola where Hermann Hesse lived from 1919 to 1931 before moving to the Casa Rossa. The Torre Camuzzi, which is part of the Casa Camuzzi complex, now houses the Hermann Hesse Museum. In 1944, Hans Purrmann moved to Montagnola from Florence and also lived in the Casa Camuzzi for a few years from 1948, maintaining a friendly relationship with the famous poet. Thus, in 1953, Hesse wrote the poem "Old Painter in the Workshop", which he dedicated to Hans Purrmann in friendship

Erläuterungen

Die Casa Camuzzi ist ein schlossähnlicher Palazzo in Montagnola, in dem Hermann Hesse von 1919 bis 1931 wohnte, bevor er in die Casa Rossa zog. In der zum Komplex der Casa Camuzzi gehörenden Torre Camuzzi befindet sich heute das Hermann-Hesse-Museum. 1944 zog Hans Purrmann von Florenz kommend nach Montagnola und lebte ab 1948 ebenfalls für einige Jahre in der Casa Camuzzi und pflegte eine freundschaftliche Beziehung zum berühmten Dichter. So schrieb Hesse 1953 das Gedicht "Alter Maler in der Werkstatt", das er Hans Purrmann in Freundschaft widmete
