On light cardboard, the margin slightly irregular on the left and right, with several tear nail holes especially in the corners and at the margins, with slight studio traces. With remains of adhesive tape on verso

Comments

The sheet is the master copy for the lithograph "Selbstbildnis III, nach links, Kragenlinie dick" from 1948, cf. Karsch 155. The drawing belongs to a group of self-portraits that Dix created in 1948, each showing his face in half-profile.

Das Blatt ist die Umdruckvorlage für die Lithographie "Selbstbildnis III, nach links, Kragenlinie dick" von 1948, vgl. Karsch 155. Die Zeichnung gehört zu einer Gruppe von Selbstbildnissen, die Dix im Jahr 1948 schuf und die sein Gesicht jeweils im Halbprofil zeigen
