The sculpture "Albatross", created in 1989, comes from a very creative phase of Jean Tinguely's work. Albatrosses are a group of large seabirds whose long wings make them good fliers even in storms. The plastic bands moved by the electric motor can remind us of these flight movements of the birds

Die 1989 entstandene Skulptur "Albatros" stammt aus einer sehr kreativen Schaffensphase von Jean Tinguely. Albatrosse sind eine Gruppe von grossen Seevögeln, die mit ihren langen Flügeln selbst in Stürmen gute Flieger sind. Die durch den elektrischen Motor bewegten Plastikbänder können an diese Flugbewegungen der Vögel erinnern
